How do I log in to Transfr?

Steps differ by who you are and what you're opening: Dashboard, Trek VR, Train, or Learner Dashboard.

For: Staff and learners

Login steps depend on who you are and what you're opening. Staff sign in to the Dashboard. Learners sign in to Trek VR in the headset, to Train, or to the learner web dashboard — each has its own methods, listed below.

I'm staff, logging into the Dashboard

Dashboard staff (Super Admin, Admin, Instructor, or Reporter) sign in from the Dashboard sign-in page using a username or email and password, or one of three SSO options: Clever, ClassLink, or NYC DOE. See the Dashboard login guide for the sign-in page layout and troubleshooting steps.

I'm a learner, logging into Trek in the headset

Trek VR supports three login methods: a personal account, a classroom code, or a Sim Pass. Which one a learner uses depends on how the classroom is set up. See the Trek learner login guide for how each method works inside the headset, or the Trek SSO guide if your organization signs in through Clever, ClassLink, or NYC DOE.

I'm a learner, logging into Train

Train supports exactly two login methods: username and password, or a 5-digit Sim Pass. Classroom codes work for Trek but not for Train — if a learner is entering a classroom code and it isn't accepted, that's why. A Sim Pass is single-use and expires 3 days after it's generated. Train doesn't save credentials between sessions, so learners re-enter them every time. See the Train learner login guide for full steps.

I'm a learner, logging into the web dashboard

The learner web dashboard (the "My Work" area learners reach from a browser, not the headset) has its own sign-in flow, separate from Trek VR and Train. See the learner dashboard guide for details.

What about password resets, invitations, and lockouts?

A password reset link expires 30 minutes after it's sent — request a new one if it's expired. A new-account invitation link stays valid for 7 days. There's no account lockout after failed attempts; repeated failed logins in a short time trigger a temporary rate limit ("Too many requests. Please try again later.") instead, which clears on its own.
