Completed sim isn't showing in the dashboard

Usually a sync delay, a Gradebook filter, or a Progress-tab date range, not lost data. How to check each.

For: Instructors and admins reviewing learner progress

Most of the time, a "missing" completed sim hasn't actually disappeared — the headset hasn't synced yet, or a filter on the page is hiding it. Check the causes below before assuming data was lost.

The headset was offline when the learner finished

A sim only reports to the Dashboard once the headset reconnects to the internet and syncs. If a learner completed a sim on a headset with a weak or no connection, the session sits on the headset until it goes back online.

  1. Confirm the headset now has a working internet connection.
  2. Reopen the app on the headset briefly to let it sync in the background.
  3. Check the Dashboard again after a few minutes. Success looks like the sim appearing in Progress or Gradebook without any other action needed.

Gradebook is showing one module at a time

For Train classrooms, the Gradebook displays results one module at a time. An empty-looking Gradebook is usually the module filter pointing at a module the learner hasn't touched, not missing data.

  1. On the classroom's Gradebook tab, check which module the filter is currently set to.
  2. Switch the filter to the module the learner actually completed.

Check the Progress tab's date range

The Progress tab's date filter defaults to the trailing 30 days rather than all-time data. If the sim was completed outside that window, it won't show until the range is widened.

  1. On the Progress tab, open the date filter.
  2. Expand the range to cover the date the sim was completed.
