New careers to explore

Two new Trek VR simulations are now available:

• Irrigation Specialist: Learners install and maintain irrigation systems, gaining experience with a growing career in landscaping and agriculture.
• Heavy Equipment Operator: Learners operate heavy machinery used in construction and infrastructure projects, exploring a high-demand career pathway.

Additionally, Dental Hygienist and HR Specialist are new occupations now available in Trek Mobile for learners to match to, explore, and learn about pathways.

Bring career exploration and skills training into one classroom.

You can now create a single classroom that gives learners access to both Trek and Train, so there is no need to manage separate classrooms for each product. Just choose the new "Trek + Train" option when creating a classroom, and learners get both in one place with simple tabs to switch between them. If you roster through Clever or ClassLink, combined classrooms are created automatically with no extra setup.

Access firmware version and Casting links on the Devices tab

The Devices tab now displays each device's firmware version in a new sortable column, and includes a ManageXR Casting link that automatically points to the correct casting URL based on the device's Meta firmware version.

Download all curriculum resources

You can now download all your Curriculum Resources at once as a single ZIP file organized by unit and section. No more downloading files one at a time.

Temporarily use Trek without WiFi

You can now temporarily use Transfr Trek without WiFi access. If a headset loses connectivity at the login screen, users will be prompted to enable Temporary Offline Mode and can continue career exploration for up to 3 days. Progress syncs automatically once the headset reconnects to WiFi. Only previously downloaded simulations will be available offline.

New Careers in Trek VR

Two new simulations are available for learners:

• Wind Turbine Technician: Learners climb to the top of a wind turbine and complete real-world maintenance tasks.
• Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator: Learners investigate an alarm, diagnose an issue, and ensure water quality meets regulations.

Simulation Improvements

Several existing simulations received user experience updates. These will trigger a small re-download after the main update.

Improves Trek Temporary Offline Mode reliability, delivers follow-on fixes for Instructor Preview Mode (launched March 10), a Trek VR simulation bug fix, and several Dashboard improvements, including access to historical data for users at expired organizations.

Introduces Instructor Preview Mode for Transfr Train and Programs classrooms, letting instructors experience Transfr programs from a learner's perspective before assigning.

This update also adds user experience updates for the Radiologic Technologist, Carpenter, and Phlebotomist Trek VR simulations.

New careers to explore‍

Two new VR career exploration simulations to experience in Trek:

• Wind Turbine Technician: Look out for heights! In this simulation, learners will climb to the top of a wind turbine to replace a hydraulic filter and an obstruction light.
• Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator: Learners will investigate an alarm in a wastewater treatment plant, diagnose an issue with sludge settling, and ensure water quality meets regulations for public use.

Small dashboard updates:

We added a new data point for time spent on eLearnings on programs and all references to “explorers” or “trainees” are replaced with the more standard “learners”.

Launches six proof-of-concept Trek “VR Sim Worksheets” in Dashboard Curriculum Resources and updates the Curriculum Mapping feature with a new Looker report.

First release of 2026: a pilot for the Train App MVP and Flagger Safety Sim, plus improvements to rostering integrations and the instructor/admin dashboard experience, and tweaks to the Trek Mobile comparison feature.
