What accessibility features does Train have?

Closed captions on every sim, transcripts in progress, and where to find the full Train accessibility documentation.

For: Instructors, administrators, and IT staff supporting learners with disabilities

Transfr is committed to an accessible, inclusive experience for all learners and works toward web accessibility standards (WCAG) across the Train product suite. This article is the short version — for the complete, always-current picture, see the Transfr Train Accessibility Overview, which Transfr updates alongside product releases.

Accessibility highlights

  • Captions. Every Train VR simulation is available with closed captions. Captions can be turned on from the captions setting in the menu. Train is available in English; it does not currently support Spanish or other languages.
  • Transcripts for simulations. We are in the process of building out our transcripts for all Train sims, which supports learners without vision or hearing and anyone who wants the content outside the headset. Please feel free to reach out to accessibility@transfrvr.com if you would like a particular sim's transcript creation to be prioritized.
  • A guiding coach. A virtual coach explains each task, repeats instructions when a learner is stuck, and never leaves them without a next step.
